Job Description: Payroll Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Payroll Director to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the payroll team in processing employee salaries in accordance with company policies, government regulations, and collective agreements.
  • Oversee the entire payroll cycle, including timekeeping, deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of employee wages and benefits.
  • Develop and implement payroll procedures and controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments on payroll-related matters.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports and metrics.
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Director or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
