We are searching for a **Manager, Financial Reporting **to join our Finance Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

**About the Opportunity**
- Lead the on time and on quality preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flow
- Lead the preparation and delivery of the annual audited financial statements for the division
- Lead the on time and on quality delivery of annual special reports required by Government.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of the team; including professional development, monitoring and managing performance, providing coaching as needed.
- Collaborate with finance managers on monthly income statement reviews, revenue growth strategies, and budget development as required
- Assist in the transition of financial reporting systems and processes to support company growth
- Support year-end audits by coordinating and providing auditors with requested information in a timely manner
- Support the Financial Controller to manage and optimize the financial reporting close process
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking always to be best in class for financial reporting processes and practices

**About You**

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
- A CPA designation with 3-5 years’ experience in a related role
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role with leadership accountability
- Strong computer literacy including advanced working skills in Microsoft Office
- Thorough technical knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Experience with Great Plains and Yardi software considered an Asset
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
