North Star Cardiology is a brand new clinic specializing in Fetal and Pediatric Cardiology. **Job Summary**:
The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is a cornerstone of North Star Cardiology, offering both clinical and clerical support. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment and is eager to grow with the clinic. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate data, handling high-volume communications, and providing clinical assistance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Setting the standard for patient confidentiality and adherence to clinic policies.
- Establishing warm and efficient patient support systems, including registration and scheduling.
- Managing clinic communications and maintaining organized clinic areas.
- Administrative and clerical duties to support clinic operations and growth.
- Collaborating closely with team members to establish and optimize clinic processes.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical office assistant diploma/certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical setting, with a passion for building new processes.
- At least 1 year providing billing services within a medical clinic
- Strong communication skills; additional languages are an asset.
- Ability to adapt to a start-up clinic environment and contribute to its growth.

**Physical Demands**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Repetitive tasks (e.g. answering phone, computer work, room cleaning)
- Transport patients of varying size with limited mobility (e.g. walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
