What will you do?

Job Responsibilities

The following is a high-level description of the Marketing Specialist responsibilities and is not intended to be all-inclusive:

- Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct mail, corporate sales, internet marketing, conventions, advertisements, sales tools and other initiatives;
- Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends;
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns;
- Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.);
- Analyze market trends to determine feasibility and profitability of new or existing offerings; make recommendations based on findings;
- Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives;
- Maximize brand value through the development of additional revenue streams and new opportunities;
- Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management;
- Determine pricing and profitability margins based on market research and other projections;
- Collaborate with team members to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages;
- Develop marketing plans within budget requirements;
- Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all marketing programs and initiatives to management;
- Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities;
- Assess the financial returns for special campaigns and promotions;
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered; and,
- Promote new marketing initiatives to all staff.

**Qualifications**:

- 5 years’ experience in a marketing role assessing analytics;
- Post secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field;
- Established knowledge of office procedures and practices;
- Demonstrated knowledge of grammar, punctuation, structure, spelling, tone, proofreading, clarity, and organization;
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe products;
- Detail oriented, possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to work self-managed or collaboratively as part of a team;
- Organized problem solver capable of thinking quickly and excelling in a performance-driven, results-oriented work environment;
- Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced environment to high standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines;
- Works well with others, and handles direction and feedback in a positive manner;
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience;
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of effective communications and mass media, publicity, advertising, policies, education, community relations, demonstration, organization structure, social service, and government relations, as they relate to the organization
