Student & Associate Coordinator (12 Month Contract)

**What We Are Looking For**:
**Responsibilities**:
Student Recruitment:
- Maintain the viRecruit applicant database
- Coordinate law school career days and on-campus interviews (including charts, correspondence, registration, materials and travel arrangements)
- Arrange summer student interviews - both on campus interviews and interview week (including scheduling, booking boardrooms, materials, catering, interviewers)
- Correspond with applicants
- Track for sponsorships and academic awards at law schools
- Liaise with law school career development offices
- Engage with firm’s Student Recruitment Committee
Student Program:
- Assist with managing the firm’s summer and articling students
- Coordinate on-boarding and orientation for incoming students
- Manage student reviews via viEval
- Assist with student social events
- Prepare and maintain Law Society filings for articling students
- Coordinate student rotations with the various departments of the firm
- Collect student weekly progress reports
- Record and monitor student vacation/sick days
Associate Program:
- Co-ordinate monthly meetings of the Associates Committee
- Assist with on-boarding of incoming associates
- Co-ordinate orientation program for incoming first year associates
- Manage and organize associate reviews via viEval
- Assist with recognition program
- Help with social events
Other:
- Filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, mail
- Typing and document preparation
- Prepare expense claims
- Assist with new projects and initiatives
**Requirements**:
- Minimum three (3) years’ previous experience as a legal assistant
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary Office Administration or Legal Assistant program
- Handle high pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
- Ability to work overtime as required
**Qualifications or Skill Required**:
- Willingness to learn customized software (including viRecruit, viEval and DocuSign)
- Strong project management skills
- Willingness to take initiative and be accountable
- Ability to problem solve
- Good judgement and decision making
