The Hub Sort Manager is responsible for managing and supervising day-to-day sorting activities, including staff dispatch and management, activity analysis and planning, in collaboration with the other members of his sorting operations team.
**Responsibilities**
- Create a positive work environment, developing the sense of belonging of employees and creating a team atmosphere.
- Achieve objectives as defined in the operational dashboard (health and safety, productivity, quality).
- Ensure the performance management of unionized employees (25-35), in accordance with operational standards and indices.
- Improve operational standards by tracking employee performance through coaching, discipline, training, coaching and recognition.
- Communicate and implement policies, procedures and programs.
- All other related and assigned tasks
**Qualifications**
- Consistently articulates and demonstrates our core competencies in communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership.
- Energetic and highly motivated leader.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to coordinate a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Presentation of a professional and positive image
- Experience in managing and supervising staff (union member an important asset)
- Experience or knowledge in the transport/logistics industry, including a good knowledge of methods and procedures (an asset)
