**Bookkeeper**
Village Holdings Corporation is a privately held, Toronto, ON based property management and commercial development company. We are a fast-growing company, and we need a Bookkeeper to join our team.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the daily operations of the bookkeeping department. This position reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger accounting.
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional Education in Accounting.
- 1+ years of bookkeeping experience required.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision and possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.

- Must be able to work on a team with mínimal supervision.
- Must be able to type at least 40 WPM.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Responsibilities**:Accounts Payable**: Responsible for accounts payable functions including vendor invoicing, bank deposits, credit card payments, vendor statements, and general ledger entries. Maintains accurate records of all transactions by following established procedures and guidelines. Reviews transactions for accuracy prior to posting on the General Ledger. Prepares monthly financial statements for various departments as required by management. Prepares monthly reports for various departments as required for management review as well as internal audits as needed. Responsible for month-end close including reconciliation of general ledger accounts at the end of each month. May also perform other duties as assigned by management or other employees such as assisting in processing of sales tax returns or other duties as needed or assigned by Controller or CEO.
Payroll**:Payroll**:Responsible for processing payroll information including employee payroll cards, timecard updates, deductions from timebud, processing deductions from paychecks, record keeping of all deductions from paychecks, record keeping of employee benefits eligibility and eligibility verification, record keeping of employee contributions paid back into savings plan; maintain records of employee payroll information by updating payroll data files weekly on Monday morning each week; prepare timebud schedules; prepare timebud invoices; process timebud invoices; prepare timebud statements; prepare timebud reports; process timebuds; process expense reports; process expense vouchers; process expense reports invoices; process employee expense vouchers; process employee expense vouchers invoices; prepare quarterly financial statements for employees; prepare annual financial statements for employees.)
