Materials Management Coordinator

Apex Distribution Inc. has opportunity is available for a **Materials Management Coordinator **located at the Central Warehouse location in Nisku. The Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for the strategic procurement of product by coordinating efforts and meeting the needs of the network of branch locations. This is a centralized position within the organization with overall corporate responsibilities.
The Central Warehouse houses 52,000 square feet with an established structure in place employing a highly skilled team of experienced people. Apex also occupies another 33,000 square feet in the same building that houses both our Nisku branch and Nisku AVS location.
- Assist in establishing Vendor agreements including sustaining and enhancing the Apex Distribution rebate programs
- Establishing positive and productive relationships with all Apex field locations and managers
- Provide support to branches on daily inventory and operational related tasks, implementing best practices.
- Assist with the strategic plan for centralized purchasing/procurement of materials, required for operations and projects. Manage inventory levels to create acceptable turns at the same time as minimizing stock outs.
- Develop positive relationships with key vendor & manufacturing partners that allow Apex Distribution Inc. to lead the industry with best service levels.
Qualifications:
- Industry product knowledge a must
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different departments including Apex managers.
- High level of professionalism with effective organizational and time management skills
