**Nursing Student Services Programs Assistant**

As the Nursing Student Services Programs Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our nursing programs’ success. Reporting to the Academic Program Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our Associate Deans, coordinating complex nursing course schedules, and ensuring top-notch front desk coverage.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Mastermind of Academic Scheduling**:Take the reins in orchestrating intricate academic schedules across multiple locations and courses, ensuring seamless delivery. Collaborate extensively to ensure classrooms, technology, and exams align flawlessly.
- **Administrative Dynamo**:Assist our Associate Deans in handling administrative tasks, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Be the guiding hand in supporting registration for over 1,800 nursing students in various programs.
- **Student Services Extraordinaire**:Be the friendly face responding to inquiries, supporting students, and maintaining critical student records. Champion operational processes and contribute to milestone events like convocations and scholarships.
- **Collaborative Master**:Build strong relationships with our program partners and internal units, ensuring streamlined administrative processes.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to the Position**:

- Grade 12 is supplemented by the successful completion of a recognized business course
- Minimum of three years of experience related to the required duties.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Demonstrated knowledge of office practices, principles, and procedures;
- Excellent organizational skills, including a proven ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision, prioritize work, and balance multiple tasks and shifting priorities;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required;
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel);
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, program partners, students, and community;
- Strong service-orientated background;
- Ability to handle confidential material with discretion;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective collegial working relationships.
- Strong emotional intelligence skills that are used to create a community where all are welcome and experience a sense of belonging.
- Knowledge of the University’s programs, policies and processes, including registration, convocation, academic action, transfer credit, and grade changes.
- Knowledge of University information systems, including DCU, Banner, CASPUR reports, Degree Audit, and GroupWise.
- Knowledge of University policies on academic evaluation, discipline, and appeals (e.g., deferrals, withdrawals, academic misconduct, and academic appeals).
- Demonstrate reliability and good judgment.
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrate skills in learning and operating a wide variety of databases and information systems.
- Work outside regular hours may be required on occasion.

Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standing, walking, or temporarily relocating from the assigned office to the front desk will be
