**What you'll do...**:

- Responsible for leading and coaching the H&S team at the site, which is comprised, of H&S Specialists and H&S Associate trainers. Effectively and proactively manage team performance and continuously enable your team to improve and grow.
- Design and implement safety governance, including standard operating procedures for new equipment and develop functional safety plans to address process requirements and concerns in fast paced environment.
- Work with GM/AGM's and leadership team members support them in building and driving a culture of safety and compliance through H&S initiatives at site. Must be able to effectively form and communicate strong business cases to support H&S initiatives to garner support.
- Establishes and monitors regular communication of H&S information, which includes updated information, training, etc. Makes recommendations and ensures that the on-the-job H&S Program is effective and maintained. Facilitates safety-training programs and ensures their effective implementation.
- Provide quality assurance on incident investigations and ensure proper root cause analysis and corrective measures are in place. Perform audits and inspections to highlight and address safety concerns, programmatic gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conducts, coaches, and trains Operations Team at site on H&S Risk Assessment methods such as Job Hazard Analysis, Job Safety Analysis, Ergonomic Assessments, Job Demand Analysis, Hazard Risk Assessment, etc. Identifies and helps execute risk mitigation strategies using cross-functional project teams. Supports Operations with integration and communication of required safe work practices on standard operating procedures. documentation.
- Analyzes health and safety trends and initiates improvements to prevent and reduce hazards and reoccurrences. Reports and reviews health and safety key performance indicators to Regional H&S Manager and site leadership.
- Develops and maintains external relationships and alliances with government bodies and industry associations strengthening the company’s reputation within the compliance community and supports regulatory outreach to articulate corporation positions on environmental and health and safety matters to regulators and external agencies. Liaise with regulatory agencies for resolution of orders/recommendations issued. Work with internal and external business partners to direct program development to protect Walmart's interests. ‎
