Category Outreach Specialist

**OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION**
Napier Outdoors is searching for an ambitious, sociable, and strategic-minded individual to join our growing team as Category Outreach Specialist. As the Category Outreach Specialist you will spearhead sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue via our client's distribution channels, with a specific focus on our OEM partnerships with Ford, GM, Honda and Nissan.
**WHAT YOU GET TO DO**
**OEM & Dealership Relations**
- Establish and foster relationships with district accessory managers, dealership managers, and parts teams to maximize marketing and sales opportunities.
- **Marketing Initiatives**:Increase product exposure through product displays, event exposure and other marketing initiatives to increase customer awareness and optimize sales opportunities
- **OEM Marketing**: Collaborate with external OEM partner agencies to boost product visibility through high-profile events, product placements in photoshoots, and inclusion in marketing materials.
- **Training & Support**: Collaborate with dealership teams to train staff on Napier’s product knowledge and sales techniques. Create training videos, and presentations to train teams remotely.
- **Sales Strategies**:Working alongside our Sales & Marketing Director, you will contribute to the development of sales strategies, promotional plans, marketing campaigns, and product launches, working closely with OEM vehicle planners and accessory teams.
**Retail & Ecomm Client Development**
- Establish business & personal relationships with buyers by becoming a trusted and valued business partner who can provide insight, guidance and support
- **Category Optimization**:Work with top retailers such as Bass Pro, Costco, Walmart, Dick Sporting Goods etc.) on product alignment strategies, promotional plans, marketing exposure opportunities to gain product exposure and growth through their retail and eCommerce channels.
- **Sales Strategies**: Develop and execute sales strategies to support growth within the client’s selling channels. Develop client specific promotional calendars and negotiate price discounts and exposure.
- **Product Listings & Launches**:Ensure clients represent the brand and products correctly by conducting website audits. Work with retailers to update product content. Assist in the development and implementation of new product launches.
**Category Growth**
- **Market Intelligence**: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify potential areas for improvement. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market development to identify opportunities for growth
- **Lead Generation**: Proactively identify and target new B2B sales opportunities through research, and outreach to increase market penetration.
- **Category Growth**:Recruit new retailers to distribute products within the category. Prepare PPL’s, RFQ’s, client proposals, presentations, and other documentation. Negotiate terms and agreements. Launch products within the new retail channel.
- **Product Development**: Assist in product development from idea generation, market research, prototyping and developing and implementing product launches.
**WHAT YOU NEED**
- Previous experience in sales or marketing, preferably in consumer goods
- Proven track record in driving marketing or sales growth
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill, with the ability to articulate value propositions.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-past, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, sales or marketing
