**Privacy and Security Analyst - PIA & STRA**
**BACKGROUND**
The British Columbia Province is in the middle of two projects,
1) one for Managed Workplace Technology Services
2) and the other for Service Desk Services.
Total Systems on behalf of the Province is seeking Privacy and Security specialists to **work remotely** to support the creation of the contracts and oversee the successful implementation of the services. The consultant/specialist will act as senior Business Analysts with specialized knowledge of the Province’s Security and Privacy frameworks, to support to the two distinct and separate Managed Workplace Technology Services and Service Desk Services projects respectively.
Key deliverables of these engagements will be
1) Privacy Impact Assessments
2) and Security and Risk Threat Assessments.
**DELIVERABLES for the contract resources include**:
- Become familiar with the procurement by reading key documents, and actively engaging in the Negotiations Working Groups.
- Provide support, as needed during negotiations, on topics related to Security and Privacy.
- Responsible for the creation of the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), Security Threat Risk Assessment (STRA), and other implementation and transition activities as required.
- Review the implemented technical solutions to evaluate alignment to the Province’s Security and Privacy frameworks and against the documented PIA and STRA.
- Develop recommendations to resolve any misalignments found.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES**:
- Extensive knowledge of FoIPPA, including recent amendments and the new requirements for data storage outside of Canada
- Knowledge of BC Government’s Privacy Impact Assessment requirements, Security Threat and Risk
- Assessment Standard, Information Security Policy, and Information Security Standard
- Extensive experience conducting privacy and security assessments for large-scale technology initiatives, preferably with recent 9within the past 3 years) directly related BC Government experience
- Preferred experience developing mitigation strategies and/or solutions to achieve FoIPPA compliance with ‘cloud’ services
**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
During the project, the Information Privacy and Security (IPS) team within the Information Management Branch of the OCIO will provide the contracted resources advice, guidance, and support regarding Ministry privacy and security policy, standards, guidelines and legislation. The IPS team will also review privacy and security assessment deliverables developed during the project to ensure they meet Ministry requirements.
1. Demonstrated experience, within last 5 years, supporting BC Public Sector IT/IM Procurements with Privacy and Security expertise.
2. Demonstrated experience, within the last 5 years, working in a complex governance-rich multi
- stakeholder environment. Preference may be given to those with public sector experience.
**SCHEDULE**
**Remote Work** is to begin by **April 7 23, 2023 ** with an anticipated time commitment requirement of 50 to 100% for 2 years
