**Your Opportunity**:
The Evaluation Lead will play a key leadership role in the Healthier Together Initiative, which is a cross AHS priority project that will support collaborative healthy settings projects across Alberta. Healthier Together is an Alberta-based system built with communities, workplaces, schools, and health services including First Nations communities and Métis Settlements. It is an adaptable way of working that uses a 5-step approach to bring people together, understand the local context, prioritize and plan evidence-informed actions, implement, evaluate, and scale and spread successful initiatives across the province. Healthier Together focused on strengthening partnerships and collaboration through governance, intersectoral partnerships, and participation by affected groups at the local level. The Evaluation Lead is an experienced, dynamic and innovative leader in public health research and evaluation. The Evaluation Lead will be responsible for working with high-level internal and external stakeholders to design evaluation frameworks, plans, oversee data collection, analysis and reporting. The Evaluation Lead will be responsible for presenting and sharing evaluation work with senior leaders within AHS and at the community level. Focus will be on creation of an evaluation framework and plan that will be able to measure changes both at the local level, as well as population health-related outcomes and where possible, co-beneficial outcomes of interest to partners and local stakeholders.

**Description**:
The Evaluation Lead is an experienced, dynamic, and innovative leader in public health research and evaluation. The Evaluation Lead will play a key leadership role in the Healthier Together Initiative, which is a cross AHS priority project that will support implementation of collaborative healthy settings projects across Alberta. The Evaluation Lead will be responsible for presenting and sharing evaluation work with senior leaders within AHS and at the community level. Focus will be on creation of an evaluation framework and plan that will be able to measure changes both at the local level, as well as population health-related outcomes and where possible, co-beneficial outcomes of interest to partners and local stakeholders. This position requires: Expert and advanced knowledge of frameworks, methods and approaches for evaluation of complex population health initiatives. Leadership and facilitation skills with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to create and maintain performance measurement systems through the development of logic models, key performance indicators and a systematic approach to collecting, storing, analyzing and reporting data. Ability to provide guidance to a team of evaluators and governance committees on frameworks, methods, analysis, and reporting. Ability to work with high-level stakeholders to examine existing monitoring systems and dashboards and provide recommendations. Expertise required to oversee complex evaluation required to demonstrate system-level changes in the AHS health care system.

**Required Qualifications**:
A Master’s in Population Health, Health Promotion and/or Program Evaluation A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Evaluation Solid understanding of evaluation approaches and methods, organizational performance, data management, research, and health innovation environments. Experience designing logic models, sourcing validated assessment tools, conducting interviews and focus groups, designing surveys, and identifying secondary data sources Ability and experience fostering collaboration and develop and sustain partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability and experience working with diverse stakeholders to generate buy in for evaluation and performance assessment. Ability to maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in relevant fields Experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation Ability to manage and prioritize work, and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of project evaluations Advanced communication, organizational, and diplomacy skills.
