Collision Damage Appraiser/parts Coordinator

**NOW HIRING**: Collision Damage Appraiser/ Parts Coordinator
**LOCATION**: Centennial Carstar Amherst, Amherst, NS
**HOURS**: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
**WAGES**: $40,000 - $50,000 salary per year + commissions and benefits (negotiable based on experience)

You’re an organized, motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, and people-focused individual who loves working with the public in a team setting. You have previous experience as an automotive appraiser, or experience in a similar field, and your mission is to always provide ultimate customer satisfaction.
**APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Extremely strong customer service and phone skills required
- Exceptional written, verbal, and computer skills
- Must be reliable and show initiative
- Professional personal presentation
- Applicant must be organized, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, working independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
- Previous automotive appraiser experience is not necessary but considered a strong asset. Additional training will be provided.
- Thorough knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex electronic imaging/ estimating systems is considered a strong asset but not necessary.
**MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Collision Damage Appraiser**:
- Inspecting vehicles for collision damage and determining repair needs.
- Creating detailed appraisals with accurate repair cost estimates.
- Negotiate and maintain good working relationships with insurance companies and adjusters.
- Reviewing repair invoices and ensuring they align with estimates.
- Submit supplement requests to insurance companies for approval including photos, service invoices, parts invoices and supplement estimates.
- Staying updated on industry trends and guidelines.
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries.
- Communicating with technicians throughout the repair process.
- Maintaining accurate records of assessments and estimates.
- **Parts Coordinator**:
- Receive and label parts
- Verify parts by invoice
- Check all parts for damages to avoid delays
- Organize parts in an orderly fashion
- Keep parts area clean
- Process and track returns to confirm receipt of credit in a timely manner
