**Role overview**:
This position provides a valuable opportunity to gain experience with maintenance operations in a bakery. The Inventory Coordinator will work closely with our maintenance team by maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, equipment manuals and inventory records.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock outs or overstock situations.
- Perform parts kitting and staging, ensuring that all the necessary parts and materials are available to successfully execute a work order.
- Monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Manage reordering processes based on usage trends and lead times.
- Ensure all parts are properly labeled and organized for easy access and identification.
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory management processes.
- Update and manage inventory management systems or other related software.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to understand parts requirements and upcoming projects.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a critical parts list for essential equipment.
- Ensure that critical spare parts are available to minimize equipment downtime.
- Implement best practices to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance overall inventory management.
- Maintain a computerized inventory system and preventative maintenance program.
- Data entry of parts and preventative maintenance tasks into software.
- Assist with unloading and moving of maintenance items delivered to the receiving department.
- Keep parts area clean and organized.
- Update maintenance logs for all equipment.
- Develops and updates procedures for both nonmechanical and mechanical maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, equipment manuals and inventory records.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to improve knowledge and skills related to maintenance practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Production and Maintenance Reliability, to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in engineering, electro mechanics, industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
- Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to work without close supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance operations.
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in varying weather conditions.
