The Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED) is a non-profit organization that offers the Bar admission program in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia. Students must article and complete CPLED's Bar admission program, Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP), to be called to the Bar.

The Content Manager will report to the CEO and play a key role in developing and building out CPLED’s programs and courses and providing direct leadership to staff and contractors.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**_ Content Development_**
- Working with the CEO to develop CPLED’s Content team, which includes hiring support staff and external contractors.
- Contributing to the development of innovative education programs, materials, and solutions by integrating adult learning best practices and thought leadership into eLearning courses. Changes to education content supported by research and analysis, including stakeholder engagement activities.
- Producing quality content on time and budget and aligning and mapping the content to the CPLED Competency Framework and associated learning outcomes.
- Monitoring and evaluating content to ensure it is effective, accurate, and comprehensive.
- Supporting program accessibility and course consistency.

**_Leadership_**
- Setting department goals, monitoring performance, and directing the Content Team.
- Assigning work, providing oversight and support to content developers, and ensuring timelines are met.
- Developing training content for SMEs, facilitators, assessors, and simulated clients.
- Working collaboratively with Indigenous Advisory Groups and similar in developing and revising TRC-related content.
- Demonstrating flexibility and leadership in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Promoting CPLED education programs to various audiences (e.g., students, post-secondary faculty, and others, as required).
- Creating and maintaining a supportive and collaborative learning environment within CPLED characterized by high professional and ethical standards, customer focus, a positive service attitude, and attention to CPLED’s strategies and objectives.
- Supporting the CEO with other projects and tasks as required.

**_ _**_Management and Reporting_**
- Monitoring and reporting on content development progress and issues regularly and on time to the CEO.
- Working collaboratively with the CPLED Programs Team, Communications Advisor, and Policy Advisor for operational needs.
- Collaborating with the psychometrician to assess and finalize Capstone results.
- Participating actively in business planning, significant business decisions, and oversight of the content budget.
- Implementing, maintaining, and strengthening performance measurement analysis and performance management, including reporting on stakeholder survey results, psychometrician reports, and other relevant documents.
- Conducting risk assessments and supporting policy development.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement of processes.
- Attending CPLED User Group meetings and working collaboratively with group members from the Law Societies of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia’s Barristers’ Society.

**Qualifications**:

- Member of a Law Society or eligible to become a member.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible post-call experience.
- 5+ years of leadership and/or project management experience.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in developing education content and presentations for professionals.
- Significant experience and a strong understanding of project management principles and methods are considered an asset.
- Strong team building, organizational, communication, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to gain consensus.
- Strong team player able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact with the profession and internal departments to achieve business change and engage stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems intuitively.
- Experience working with Boards and working at the senior management level.
- Travel may be required from time to time.
