Grades 4 to 12 located in Canada’s capital and the traditional, unceded territory of the

Located in central Ottawa, Ashbury College is currently seeking a full-time Director of Financial
Assistance & Associate Director of Admissions to lead the allocation process for Ashbury’s over
$1.5 million in Financial Assistance awarded annually. This position will also manage an
assigned segment of the Senior School admission files.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

- Lead the Financial Assistance Committee to ensure financial assistance for eligible

student applicants and support the college’s net tuition goals.
- Ensure that Ashbury’s Financial Assistance program is allocated in a meaningful way and

aligns with the Ashbury College strategic plan.
- Assess and enhance, as required, processes supporting Ashbury’s financial assistance

strategy.
- Actively promote Ashbury’s financial assistance program throughout the Ashbury

community.
- Participate in virtual and live admissions events locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Act as the Director of Admissions in their absence.
- Participate in regional marketing opportunities.
- Represent Ashbury College on 1-3 national and /or international recruitment trips per
- year.- administration, and invitation letters.- Arrange school/college visits for assigned students, including tours, presentations, and

shadow visits.

- Cultivate recruitment networks with parents, alumni, and organizations to support

recruitment activities.
The incumbent will report to the Director of Admissions, work closely with the 3-member
Admissions team, and regularly collaborate with our Advancement and Communications
collaborative creativity, and thriving in a busy learning and professional growth-oriented
community.

Your education, experience, and qualifications include:

- 5+ years of project management experience, with an emphasis on asset allocations,

ideally outside of the corporate sector.
- A related post-secondary degree.
- Extensive experience preparing for, initiating, and regulating tough but mindful
- conversations.- Experience executing recruitment campaigns.
- Developing and maintaining effective, collaborative interpersonal relationships.
- A demonstrated high level of cultural sensitivity, ensuring that all applicable activities
- support inclusion, diversity, and access.- Ability to communicate with and present to individuals, small groups, and large
- audiences.- Application of tact and confidentiality, and experience leading.
- Fluency in languages, in addition to English, would be an asset.
