Profile

The Business Analyst will be a valued thought leader in the group, advancing new ideas around automation, process improvement, integrations and value-added reporting. You will lean towards continuous improvement in how things are done and look to technology as an enabler of good work flow. You will provide analyses of data that will drive critical organizational decisions surrounding resourcing, budgeting, total compensation, benefits, workforce planning, major project planning and more.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Master and understand the various business processes and data repositories of the department, and company, and the related systems, as required
- Collect, integrate, and analyze various datasets to produce reports and dashboards which provide the business the information required to make appropriate resourcing and budgeting decisions
- Maintain a repository of all data inputs and business analysis products/artifacts
- Audit system data to ensure the integrity of master data
- Participate in integrating, analyzing and creating recommendations from various sources of data including internal sources, market sources and other external third-party data sets
- Support the business with ad-hoc, on-demand data analysis & reporting to improve
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate recurring progress and impact reporting on internal project work
- Assist in the identification of process strengths and weaknesses; research and recommend areas of improvement for overall productivity and efficiency
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of ongoing improvement efforts to streamline and enhance business processes
- Identify opportunities for improving business and systems-related processes and recommends and facilitates the planning and coordination of improvements.

Education / Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, or related field
- Post secondary coursework, certificate or diploma in Data Sciences
- Previous experience in industry would be an asset (manufacturing / aerospace, etc)
- At least 3 years of related work experience, specifically in HR Data Analysis
- At least 3 years of related work experience in either Human Resources or other HR related data (payroll, HRIS, etc)

Skills / Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce preferred)
- Strong presentation skills with excellent proficiency in MS Office Suit (especially PowerPoint, Visio) and ability to get into details as well as provide executive summaries of complex situations
- Strong financial acumen with excellent proficiency in MS Excel to analyze and compute large amounts of data
- Results-oriented and a team player comfortable working with all aspects of the organization
- Ability to work well as part of a team or individually

Some travel may be required between Longview Aviation Capital / De Havilland Canada sites (maximum 20%).
