Bully-Free Foundation Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating forms of modern bullying. We are committed to providing free counselling services and delivering programs for youth, parents, and supporting community members. Our primary purpose is to create a safe space for youth to learn and develop the necessary skills to cope with the effects of bullying.

Our programs include research, workshops, educational sessions, and webinars on topics such as cyber safety, prevention, and interventions. Through our efforts, we hope to empower individuals, families, and communities to stand up against bullying and create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Adapts youth programs to the needs and interests of young people. Promotes the development and implementation of programs that meet the emerging needs and interests of young people. Aligns program development, cultural needs, and strategic plans
- Supports the integration of individual young people into the municipal hall, community programs and school. Works with community programs, services and schools to modify programs to support the development of individual youth and family members as needed.
- Provides targeted support to specific youth in community center programs, encouraging participation in youth-to-youth relationship building. Contributes to social development and improves group dynamics. Identify systemic barriers to participation and work with colleagues to address these issues.
- Supports programs that develop health, fitness, sports, arts, culture, social skills and relationships
- Places young people in volunteer positions in the center, community and schools. Support young people to develop their individual capacity as leaders. Creating opportunities for youth program management. Help youth advocate and initiate program changes and participate with center and park management in community youth policy development.
- There is a focus on systematic planning and strategies that connect young people to the community center and the wider community.
- works with community agencies and services to identify marginalized/vulnerable/disconnected youth; involves young people in the programs of the municipal hall and promotes services and service changes on their behalf.
- Meet young people where they are in the community, connect and build relationships with vulnerable young people and link them back to your community center and community.
- Collaborates with community agencies, schools and services to examine systemic youth issues that must be addressed with the collective energy of individual agencies or youth service centers. Advocates and systematically plan to ensure the basic needs of all Vancouver youth are met. Advocacy may require challenging the existing practices and procedures of institutions, schools or government.
- Build partnerships with service providers and indigenous service providers
- Initiates, participates and acts as a leader.
- Find strategic ways to connect young people to the critical infrastructures that affect their lives. Collaborates with park management, community center associations, schools and community offices to support youth as community builders and active community members.
- Trains, directs, schedules and supervises volunteers and program assistants to ensure adequate staffing for youth programs and facilities, including special events, leadership camps and summer playgrounds.
- Reports regularly on current youth programs, services and issues.
- Works with colleagues in the Community Center, YWAT (Youth Worker Action Team) and project teams to ensure effective, innovative and responsive community youth development.
- Other duties/responsibilities according to the regulations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $1.00-$2.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 5 per week
