- The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an immediate opening for a replacement temporary part-time Assistant Food Services Program Coordinator. This is an onsite position located at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre.
- Reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, this position will be responsible for:
- Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and promotion of food services programs and special events.
- Provides direction, guidance and mentoring to staff and volunteers; provides input into evaluations; may participate in recruitment; assists with training, orientation, scheduling, and shift coverage; provides input on and monitors the performance of contractors.
- Assists a superior in liaising with community groups and associations.
- Provides leadership and instruction for various food services operations, programs, and events.
- Assumes responsibility for the operation and security of a recreation facility on assigned shifts and/or in the absence of a supervisor.
- Enforces rules, regulations and policies and deals firmly, consistently, and tactfully with groups or individuals that fail to observe these.
- Resolves public service complaints in accordance with the established procedures and refers difficult or unusual situations to a superior.
- Prepares and maintains equipment and supply inventory records; assists with monitoring program budgets; drafts promotional material for review and approval by a supervisor; drafts a variety of reports and maintains records related to the work.
- Performs other related work as required.
- Position Status:
- WVMEA (Union) - Replacement Temporary Part -Time (approximately 6 months)- Hours of Work:
22.5 hours per week (Tuesday - Saturday)
- Rate of Pay:
- $32.92 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits- Closing Date:
