Edmonton, Canada Alberta Disability Workers Association (ADWA) Full time

The Membership Engagement and Public Relations Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and retain members of the Alberta Disability Worker Association. They will also manage the organization's public relations efforts to enhance its reputation and visibility.

**Membership Engagement**:

- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones (eg. Promote and increase the value of ADWA membership).
- Coordinate with the Board to organize events and activities for members.
- Regularly communicate with members to understand their needs and concerns.
- Work closely with the Membership Engagement Committee to ensure member satisfaction.

**Public Relations**:

- Promote an enhanced profile for the organization by coordinating participation in relevant community and committee meetings.
- Develop and implement a public relations strategy to enhance the organization's reputation.
- In coordination with the Executive committee build relationships with media outlets and support the Board in response to media inquiries.
- Coordinate with the Board to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Monitor and manage ADWA’s social media forums.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy.

**Reporting and Administration**:

- Prepare regular reports on membership engagement and public relations activities.
- Maintain accurate records of members and public relations activities.Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to membership engagement and public relations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.62-$41.37 per hour

Expected hours: 9.5 - 11.5 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- public relations: 5 years (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB T6E 5J4
