**Job Summary**:
CTDC is currently engaged in two projects designed to train for entry level positions within health support, children support, and social support services as well as Finishing Trades. The support services project encompasses Northumberland County, Peterborough, Hastings County, Durham Region, Kingston and Frontenac areas while the Finishing Trades is specific to Northumberland County and delivered in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Northumberland. This initiative is aimed at providing participants with the knowledge, skills, and mentorship needed to excel in their respective fields. To support these projects, we are seeking an experienced **Recruitment Coordinator** who is passionate about helping individuals achieve their career goals.

As a Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible interviewing, screening, completing eligibility assessments for potential program participants. An extension of the role will include recruiting employers for participant placement/employment as well as providing guidance and support to individuals seeking career development and advancement. Your role will involve helping clients identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and assisting them in creating effective job search strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review resumes, schedule/complete pre-screening interviews, complete eligibility assessments, onboard new participants
- Build professional networks within the above mentioned sectors and facilitate introductions to potential employers, mentors, and industry leaders as needed
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with participants to assess their career goals and develop personalized action plans including guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies
- Assist participants in identifying their skills, strengths, and areas for improvement
- Offer support and encouragement throughout the career development process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and job market changes to provide relevant advice
- Collaborate with other career professionals to support training program success and participant learning
- Utilize various assessment tools to help participants gain self-awareness and make informed career decisions
- Maintain accurate records of participants progress and outcomes

**Requirements**:

- College diploma or Bachelor's degree in counseling, human resources, or a related field
- Proven experience in recruitment, community engagement or similar role
- Strong knowledge of training development, interviewing techniques, recruiting strategies, and career assessment tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Proficient in using technology for virtual coaching sessions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 28 weeks

Pay: $28.00-$32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
