McInnes Cooper is seeking a motivated and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Litigation Legal Support Services team in our Saint John office in a full-time permanent position. The incumbent will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support for a group of lawyers within an innovative team support model and working to ensure all clients receive the highest level of service.
**As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for**:
Liaising with clients and ensuring their expectations are consistently exceeded;
Document preparation duties including preparing letters, transcribing documents, scanning, printing, and making copies;
File management including opening and closing files and managing documents, both in paper and electronic formats;
Arranging deliveries and couriers;
Preparing client invoices and expense claims; and,
Assisting with meeting room preparation and audio-visual equipment setup.
Minimum of two (2) years experience, preferably within the litigation field;
Excel in a demanding, fast-paced team environment, be highly detail-oriented, and flexible to changing priorities;
Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and a genuine interest in keeping up to date with the newest technology;
Exceptional communication skills, a special focus on client service, and the highest degree of professionalism; and,
A positive attitude and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
