Technical Support Specialist

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Highly motivated, adaptable, self-starting and self-managed; prepared for challenging, fast-paced, time-sensitive tasks/work.
- Responsive, with an interactive, hands-on approach to identifying, handling and resolving technical and end-user support issues;
- Committed to continuous improvement and learning;
- Practical hands-on experience in supporting and testing networking software and hardware for standardized wireless communications systems (e.g. satellite, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular);
- Field experience with the support and test of mobile communications products; and with practical awareness of marine end-user environments;
- Five years of front-line, technical support experience (level 2+); with a relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.

**ADDITIONAL ASSETS**
- Field experience and awareness of the support and test of mobile communications products in recreational and commercial marine end-user environments;
- Practical experience supporting end-users in marine regulatory environments (e.g. NOAA/NMFS VMS);
- Working knowledge of other languages.
