RAM Elevators & Lifts Inc. is an industry leading Edmonton based manufacturer of residential & commercial elevators and accessibility lifts. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the Supply Chain Specialist role. As an expert in this area, you will build and leverage strong working relationships with our production teams and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. You will be solely responsible for supply chain including procurement, inventory control and logistics while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

**About the role**

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible to manage critical supply chain infrastructure, including collaboration with vendors to ensure appropriate materials and supplies mobilized. This individual will ensure product availability by taking action to solve backorders and shortages. The Supply Chain Specialist is also responsible for maintenance, tracking, and investigation of missing products.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and issue POs, monitor open POs and blanket orders and adjust as necessary
- Monitor procurement activities and commodity acquisitions to identify opportunities and develop strategies to improve the performance of the vendor supply chain and related buying experience
- Analyze business requirements, and develop appropriate procurement strategies and plans to support RAM’s short
- and long-term goals and objectives
- Maintain and adjust the parameters of supply and stock management including ramp-up and ramp-down to achieve the target service level while reducing stock overages.
- Manage contract life cycle by monitoring contract terms, leading contract extension initiatives and negotiating terms and conditions of contract renewal
- Ensure the quality and consistency of key data: Lead Time, Quantity, Stocking policy.
- Manage the continuous needs/resources balance (Kanban.. ) for raw material, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, create value-added services, and drive cost reductions and quality improvement while minimizing risk exposure
- Act as an escalation point and aid in resolving supplier performance issues
- Report on part shortages to avoid production disruption
- Investigate trends in materials and supply prices, recommend the timing and quantity of purchases and establish economical purchase quantities
- Participate in daily operations meetings with various other functions of the manufacturing team.
- Play a key role in our yearly physical inventory process as well as inventory positioning and determination of daily production requirements for each product family
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to provide value-added lean solutions for material flow and handling.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing setting
- Procurement Designation SCMP is an asset
- Fluent in English
- Effective communication, facilitation, and strong negotiation skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required
- Ability to plan and organize effectively and has strong decision-making skills
- Experience with conflict management and resolution
- Must be detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy in inputting and checking data
