**Superintendent of Education (1.0 FTE)**

As one of the area’s largest employers, Bluewater District School Board has approximately 3,000 permanent and casual employees who serve 18,500 students and families across 8,673 square kilometres within Bruce and Grey Counties on the traditional lands of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.

**Location**:Bluewater District School Board Education Centre (Chesley)

**Commencing**: September 2023

**Permanent full-time**: 12 Month position

**Responsibilities**:
Superintendents of Education in Bluewater District School Board demonstrate their commitment to the priorities of the board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan by ensuring and promoting the well-being of students and staff, quality instruction and learning experiences, community engagement, and responsible stewardship of resources. As exemplary instructional leaders, Superintendents of Education possess superior interpersonal, communication, collaborative decision-making and team-building skills. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to support the improvement of student achievement and well-being while working as part of multi-disciplinary teams of staff, trustees, parents, and community members. A commitment to equity and provision of leadership to administrators in creating inclusive and instructionally effective learning environments that support achievement and well-being for all students must be demonstrated.
