**HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES STAFFING SUPERVISOR (1.0 FTE)**

**Location**:Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB), Learning Services

**Commencing**: As soon as possible

**1.0 Permanent full-time 12 Month position**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Manager of Human Resource Services and suport the Superintendent of Education regarding Collective Agreement Staffing; implementation for various employee groups
- Generate staffing based on Ministry regulations, collective agreements and projected and final enrolment numbers
- Determine staffing for bargaining unit groups using Ministry technical papers
- Liaise, consult, communicate and collaborate with Human Resources Services managers and superintendent regarding staffing
- Liaise with Financial Services regarding staffing required for budget, reporting and validation purposes
- Support administrators and supervisors to ensure all staffing data is received and accurate in Human Resources Services related to staffing;
- Provide instruction and support to administrators regarding staffing process as per regulations and collective agreements including permanent hiring, surplus to school, layoff and recall
- Provide resource support to Superintendent of Education for Human Resources Services for purposes of negotiations and Labour Relations Committees
- Lead Electronic Information Form (EIF) system and process
- Track employee placements and employee EIFs
- Oversee job postings as required as a direct support to administrators, managers, and supervisors regarding posting processes including temporary staff
- Assist with recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives for bargaining units
- Oversee seniority lists
- Lead the use of Staffing Plus system
- Complete other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Post-secondary college diploma or university degree in human resources management or related discipline
- CHRP/CHRL Designation or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field of Human Resources in a unionized environment.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a large, unionized, public sector environment, preferred.

**Assets**:

- Strong analytical and technical/computer skills including experience using IPPS (Integrated Payroll and Personnel Systems) or another Human Resources Information System.
- Experience in a large, unionized, public sector environment, preferred. Experience in the Education sector an asset.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and successfully complete projects with conflicting deadlines and urgency.
- Demonstrated proficiency drafting and editing written communications and superior documentation skills.
- Ability to exercise considerable independent judgement, tact, and sensitivity with confidentiality and discretion in dealing with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
