Maxx North America Services Ltd., one of, Alberta’s most progressive and innovative energy service company, is looking to hire a dynamic and motivated Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Edmonton Office. This position will appeal to an individual looking to be part of an exciting team, and gain further experience in a challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Full cycle payroll; 250+ employees - within tight timelines.
- Responsible for the in house preparation and processing of weekly payroll for office & field staff
- Processes personnel transactions as required including new hire, termination, leave of absence, benefits, garnishments, salary changes, etc.
- Maintains payroll records and files, ensures employee files are current, and supporting spreadsheets and records are maintained.
- Reconciles and researches payroll discrepancies and processes adjustments as required.
- Responds to employee payroll inquiries
- Processes Record of Employments (ROE’s) in accordance with Service Canada requirements.
- Processes annual T4 statements, T2200 forms and other government reporting as required.
- Performs account reconciliations and remittances for WCB, WSIB and WorkSafe.
- Stays current with all aspects of Canadian payroll legislation, privacy laws and benefit administration
- Ensures compliance with company policies, corporate governance procedures, collective agreements, and legislative government requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee information and compensation practices.
- Assists the Finance department with reporting and special projects, as required.
- Due to the restrictive timelines involved with this position, overtime may occasionally be required.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

**Skills and Experience**:

- College Diploma or Certificate in Payroll and 5+ years’ related experience
- Equivalent experience combined with other formal training and accreditations may be accepted
- Strong knowledge of payroll, Federal and Provincial Employment Standards, and payroll related regulations
- Sage and Multi-provincial payroll experience is an asset
- Excellent computer skills: Excel Advanced (a must requirement), Word, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to confidentiality
- Initiative, dependable, and team-first attitude a must
