Edmonton, Canada Stream-Flo Full time
*Key position functions:*
* Process payroll and timekeeping activities and associated duties in an accurate and timely manner.
* Maintain high proficiency knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems, and prevailing payroll/legislative practices.
* Provide strong customer service focus to employees and management.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Human Resources colleagues, and other Department representatives as required (Finance, Operations, etc.).
* Complete accurate and timely payroll processing, consistent with Company guidelines and legislative requirements.
* Review time records for completeness and accuracy, compile information and enter into timekeeping system as required.
* Liaise with third party payroll vendor(s) regarding service and troubleshooting issues.
* Maintain updated payroll related information (rates, benefits, employee information, etc.).
* Maintain a service oriented approach to working with management, colleagues and when responding to employee inquiries and concerns.
* Assist with preparing new hire packages.
* Assist with processing new hires and terminations.
* Maintain employee files and information.
* Complete project work as assigned.

*Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:*
* Three years of payroll administration experience is preferred.
* High School Diploma – additional education and Canadian Payroll Association accreditation are assets.
* Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems – experience with UKG is a strong asset.
* Experience with hourly and salaried payroll processes is preferred.
* Familiarity with benefit administration.
* Excellent attention to detail & accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused.
* Proven problem solving and decision making skills - good judgment.
* Well organized and self-motivated.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft applications.
