Corporate Communications Director, North America

**Introduction**:
This role is responsible for building awareness and understanding of Avanade’s market-leading skills and positioning across the Microsoft ecosystem internally and externally, with key media and industry analysts, and through social media, across the North America (NA) geographic area.

Avanade’s North America Corporate Communications Director is a key role within Avanade’s corporate communications function and is responsible for the coordinated planning, management and execution of Avanade’s external communications, internal communications and social media activities across the Area, and managing NA analyst relations activities. The role reports to the Corporate Communications and Brand Executive and works closely with the NA Marketing Lead and Global Corporate Communications team to ensure NA corporate communications activities are aligned and integrated with Area and global business priorities to maximize impact and engagement with key internal and external audiences, including Accenture and Microsoft.

The role will be also be responsible for managing the NA internal communications lead and the NA social media lead as well as the NA Public Relations agency network.

**What you’ll do**:

- Plan, manage and execute integrated communications activities across NA in alignment with global strategy and CCB Executive and NA Marketing Lead
- Provide corporate communication counsel to NA leadership and manage key stakeholders across NA Business and Marketing
- Manage NA PR agencies and track and report progress against KPIs
- Manage and develop NA internal and social media leads as Career Advisor
- Develop and implement NA AR strategy and manage local leadership and SME analyst engagement in coordination with global AR program
- Lead on NA crisis communications in collaboration with global crisis communications lead
- Build strong relationships with Accenture and Microsoft NA external communications and AR teams for joint initiatives

**Skills and experiences**:

- Strong experience of independently conceptualizing, building and executing end-to-end public relations campaigns (including social media and internal comms) that align with business objectives, can integrate with other marketing programs, and produce significant results
- Proven, demonstrable experience in work in a fast-paced environment with a think-on-your-feet attitude and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time
- Demonstrable experience of managing C-suite stakeholders in challenging situations
- Excellent writing skills, including customizing messages for different audiences and channels
