Job Overview

The Eataly North America Head Chef plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our restaurants by overseeing all back-of-house operations. This includes delegating tasks to the Sous Chefs team, developing recipes and menus, and maintaining quality standards.

As a key member of the Director of Store Operations team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maximizing Profitability: Directing and organizing back-of-house strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience.
  • Leading the Sous Chefs Team: Managing and mentoring a team of skilled chefs to achieve operational excellence and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Menu Development: Collaborating with the culinary team to create innovative and authentic Italian dishes that showcase Eataly's commitment to quality ingredients and seasonal offerings.
  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Partnering with senior leadership and corporate teams to execute special events, share knowledge, and drive business growth.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data, building budgets, and developing strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of chef experience, including 5+ years of management experience
  • Deep understanding of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, safety and sanitation regulations, and Microsoft Office Suite
