Bermingham Foundation Equipment (SB Canada) is currently seeking a Master Scheduler.
The position will be based out of the Manufacturing site in Hamilton, ON.
**Your Responsibilities Will Include**:
**Core**
- Adhering to all safety policies
- Overseeing the system accuracy for activities related to the manufacturing of product
- Reporting, correcting, or being involved with determining the root cause driving incorrect system functionality
- Supporting the efforts of inventory and work order management controls of all materials, subassemblies, assemblies, finished goods throughout the facility including the preservation and protection of customer supplied material, assemblies, systems and equipment
- Involve and assign department personal with departmental improvements
- Meeting and supporting all corporate and departmental guidelines
- Positive interdepartmental relationships
- Support & participate in year end inventory counts.
- Support the sales team with capacity and scheduling of quotes based on backlog and planned work.
**Production Office**
- Determining accurate ship dates and for meeting these dates as communicated to the customer
- Facilitate the daily Production Schedule and Requisition meeting
- Ensuring that the production office associates understand their roles, what they are accountable and responsible for, and to mentor and supervise them to meet these requirements
- Develop production schedules specific to department, cell, resource, or machine
- Develop material movement schedules for the material handler to prep cells for production ahead of required WO operation start dates
- Monitor exception reports to find work orders that are late to start, late to finish, or are unnecessary and develop action plans to get production back on track so that completion dates are not missed
- Ensure work order labour and quantity scans are being correctly entered to improve data integrity
- Perform month end activities including ensuring all work orders are closed for items already shipped
- Oversee production office activities by
- Streamlining office processes
- Developing documented processes to ensure consistency for all roles
- Working with the scheduling personnel and maintenance of the production schedule
- Ensuring ECN’s are actioned through the production office and production departments
- Monitoring work order management
- Ownership of the assigned departmental systems in place as follows:
- Review, implement and oversee all top level systems and detailed processes supporting the system
- Update and maintain system and process documentation
- Review, update and maintain job descriptions in support of the systems
**Administrative**
- Attend relevant production and engineering meetings to ensure all production scheduling requirements are being met by focusing on the right BOM’s and Routings
- Coordinate through clear communication with all departments: Customer Service, Quality, Maintenance, Materials (receive/ship/ kit / movement), Engineering, Purchasing, Production
- Maintain and report on KPI’s specific to the assigned department activities
- Support the development and implementation of all applicable Policies, Plant Standards, Operating Procedures and Work Instructions within their area of responsibility, which includes Health & Safety, Quality and Production; ensure all employees are trained and a record is kept of their training
- Manage direct reports enforcing accountabilities, responsibilities using performance reviews and other forms of communication to help individuals improve in their functions
- Manage direct reports for all personal issues including vacation scheduling, excessive time off
- Responsible for reviewing the Accident/Incident/Investigation reports to ensure that the corrective actions for Prevention have been taken related to the assigned department
