**Position Background**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of environmental samples under the supervision of senior staff, enduring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Monitor environmental parameters using various field instruments and record data meticulously
- Prepare and present reports on field and laboratory findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with environmental issue resolutions, including EHS compliance and sustainability challenges
- Represent the Company at different national and international forums.
- Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in field experimentation by planting vegetation in controlled environments as directed
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related discipline.
- Fluent in the English language (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and frequently demanding deadlines
- Knowledge of soil science, botany, microbiology, and composting.
- Experience working in laboratory and field environments.
**Working Conditions**:
- Regular required to stand/sit, talk/hear, use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone, stoop, and kneel
- Prolonged exposure to computer screens
- Driving for multiple hours at a time
- Office environment (50%), Field environment (25%), Laboratory (25%)
- May be required to work weekends and outside of regular office hours
- May be required to travel for field work, meetings and conferences
