We are seeking an **Environmental Field Technician **to join our growing team.

H2nanO is creating the next generation of water and emissions treatment technology. We are a growing environmental technology innovator, building solutions for hard-to-treat water contaminants, GHG emissions, and odours to support sustainable industry. **About The Job**:
**Location**: Edmonton, AB

You will work with a talented team of biologists, engineers, chemists, and technicians at H2nanO to help design test programs, commission major projects, execute on-site and field analytical operations, maintain system operations, conduct data collection and support other technology development activities. You will be based in Edmonton assisting with on-site programs with the potential for travel to other field operating sites if required. Your primary focus will be assisting our Senior Biologist and Lead Process Technician with commissioning and execution of test programs to demonstrate integration of H2nanO’s SolarPass technology.

**Environmental Field Technician Roles**:

- Contribute to the planning, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of H2nanO’s industrial wastewater solar treatment systems.
- Serve as a technical specialist in environmental science and field monitoring for H2nanO’s industrial wastewater treatment and emissions reduction systems.
- Manage day-to-day activities for system set-up and test programs. Monitor process equipment and conduct repairs if required. Prepare and maintain data reports and daily logs. Monitor the progress of treatment.
- Collect and process water samples for analytical analysis. Complete onsite analytical testing and prepare samples for offsite analysis, including packaging and sample chain of custody generation.
- Contribute to process, controls and monitoring equipment commissioning and maintenance.
- Operate and direct the operation of monitoring equipment. Execute sampling and data generating testing for performance assessment programs.
- Prepare and maintain field activities and data reports, sample chain of custody, operations observations, and contribute to reports to clients.
- Assist with creation of standard operating procedures and safe work protocols. Participate in project safety hazard assessments and reviews.

**What You Will Learn**:

- Professional documentation and communication.
- Potential ability to work towards or obtain Professional Biologist designation

**Preferred Experience**:
College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, or equivalents.

1+ years of relevant professional experience.
