Primary Duties
Reporting to the Manager, Utilities Engineering, the Engineering Project Coordinator will administer a diverse range of projects related to the management of infrastructure assets. Demonstrating your leadership, coordination and organizational skills you will be responsible for aspects of project management including quality control, procurement, planning, construction management, and commissioning. Ensuring regard for staffing and safety considerations to achieve a quality project while respecting the budget and schedule objectives are also key considerations. The incumbent will undertake projects from inception to completion involving assets under the management of Utilities Kingston which may include facilities, plants, buildings, linear assets or other projects. The incumbent will co-ordinate and work collaboratively with Project Engineers, Operations Staff, the Manager of Engineering, other staff, and consultants as required. The salary range for this position is $86,464 - $112,2861.

The successful incumbent will be effective working in a team environment where consensus and cross-functional collaborations are critical to success and where customer/client service is appreciated and understood.
Education, Certification and Other Qualifications Required
Minimum college diploma in civil engineering or another field of study directly related to the duties of the position coupled with a C.E.T. designation and 8-10 years of related experience will be preferred.
OR
- A university degree and a PEng designation and 3-5 years of related experience.
- Experience in project planning, project management and project construction.
- Experience in utility infrastructure projects (sewer, water) will be preferred as well as knowledge of utilities.
- Experience with RFQs, RFI, RFP’s Tenders, contract preparation and interpretation.
- Initiative, leadership, collaboration, public relations skills, excellent coordination and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance and Control
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software products.
