**About the Role**:
The Category Manager - Kinder, Ferrero Mainstream Chocolate & Innovation is responsible for developing and implementing Ferrero’s growth strategy for the assigned portfolios. This highly cross-functional position is responsible for driving both sales and margin for all products within the Everyday portfolio. As the Category Manager - Kinder, Ferrero Mainstream Chocolate & Innovation, you'll be responsible for generating & commercializing insights to support selling arguments and product launches that will help grow customer categories and Ferrero’s share. Internally, the role will support the development of Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, development of sales targets, pricing strategy & mapping of new opportunities across product, distribution, shelving and promotional dimensions within existing and new categories.

This role reports into the Director of Category Management, within Ferrero’s multi-disciplinary Trade Marketing department.

When in the office, this role is located at 100 Sheppard Avenue East, North York, ON M2N 6N5, conveniently located within walking distance to public transit.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Build category growth plans rooted in consumer & shopper insights, translating annual and long-term priorities into actionable sales stories and initiatives
- Develop, maintain and communicate Ferrero’s strategy on how to grow the assigned categories, focusing on distribution, merchandising, shelving, and pricing (DSMP) fundamentals
- Lead key projects and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit as you help address category management opportunities through the analysis of category, competition, consumption & shopper data. Be responsible for developing & launching important resources that will be leveraged across the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales and Supply teams to launch new innovation and close gaps on core range
- Responsible for supporting accounts with the preparation of planogram strategy, providing guidelines for product placement on shelves and ideal display execution
- Collaborate with the Trade Business Intelligence team on data sourcing, scorecarding and reporting
- Manage and maximize use & output of syndicated research resources, shopper insights platforms, category management teams, research projects, Customer and Syndicated POS data, in support of the sales organization and ensure linkage with the growth plan for the assigned categories & brands

**Who we are looking for**:

- 7+ years’ experience working within the CPG / FMCG industry
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape
- Strong knowledge of Category Management and Syndicated data (i.e., AC Nielsen, IRI)
- Proven experience in cross-functional leadership and project management
- Ability to develop strategies, set priorities and deliver results
- Self-starter with the ability to solve problems in a team environment
- Knowledge of space management software
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence both internally and externally
- Highly collaborative team players with a winning attitude
