**How you’ll contribute**

As our motivated **Territory Sales Consultant**, you will be in a key role spending up to 80% of your time travelling in your local territory to build and maintain relationships in your account portfolio through:

- Creating and executing a prospecting plan to secure new local customers within your assigned market area to create your own local client portfolio
- Calling and visiting prospective and existing client accounts to secure ongoing orders for all lines of our business.
- Strengthening and building long term customer relationships, and addressing any disputes and ensuring quick resolution
- Working closely with our specialty divisions and multiple branch teams to promote company programs and initiatives, and offer a differentiated value to customers
- Developing weekly sales call plans for daily prospecting new accounts and connections with existing accounts
- Completing call reports and sales plans correctly in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate call reports
- Providing the Branch Manager with regular updates on accounts for forecasting and collaboration, and attending all sales meetings and events
- Maintaining sales funnels and communicating site information with sales and operations teams
- Preparing and delivering annual customer pricing agreements, and providing sales information for the annual budget process
- Creating annual pricing agreements to ensure accurate invoicing
- Identifying customer trends and making recommendations on new products, programs, and services
- Maximizing zone coverage in the most time and cost-efficient manner, ensuring optimal customer service at all times
- Ensuring strong relationships and connecting regularly with internal partners (fellow Territory Sales Consultants, Branch Managers, and Store Teams) to review weekly sales activity, wins & challenges, and opportunities to increase market share
- Always conducting yourself professionally at all times when dealing with co-workers, clients, and third-party suppliers
- Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies and conducting safe work practices while on client sites, including wearing required PPE
- Other Sales or Operational duties as assigned

**What we’re looking for**
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years of combined experience in Sales and/or Customer Service, with a preference for a background in Construction or Rental Equipment
- G Class Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract (valid within the last 90 days)
- Experience successfully establishing new and/or building existing customer relationships
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, able to effectively deal with internal staff and clients
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision while maintaining tight deadlines under multiple projects.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, strong project management skills, attention to detail and excellent analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Acute business acumen and negotiation skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of the regional construction market is a strong asset
