**What will you do?**
- Develop, implement and maintain transfer pricing policies and procedures for the Company on a global basis
- Leading a transfer pricing team to ensure overall Company compliance to applicable rules and requirements by ensuring
- Develop and maintain a control framework with the country tax directors and management to analyse transfer pricing transactions and documentation requirements
- Provide tax advisory support for the Company in respect of managing transfer pricing risk for the Company
- Leading Company response in relation to tax audits, appeals and litigation regarding transfer pricing matters
- Represent Sun Life on industry associations such as CLHIA or other groups with regards to transfer pricing issues affecting the Company
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, as well as external business partners within accounting and law firms

**What do you need to succeed?**
- CPA designation, license to practice law in Canada or MTax degree
- At least 10 years of relevant tax experience and transfer pricing, preferable in the financial services industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style based on audience
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required **for Quebec only** for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees across functional and business areas and to maintain positive relationships throughout the organization
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of challenges and opportunities and see them through to resolution
- Ability to lead consultations with, and manage outside tax advisors
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with moderate to mínimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic team oriented environment
- A strategic and continuous learning mindset with a desire to stay on top of tax technical changes in Canada and abroad
- Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple completing priorities
