**Summary**

We are seeking, self-motivated, customer service focused individuals to be part of our team for the position of Network Technician working primarily on the network with ability to work with commercial and residential customers if required.

This position entails working indoors and outdoors, operating independently and providing quality service. Includes the installation, activation and repair/maintenance of telecommunications service. Liaison with our client, installing, activating or repairing associated telecommunications equipment such as TAP, Amplifiers, Hard Cable and Fibre Optics, aerial and underground service wires to facilitate connectivity to the end user.

Full Paid training is provided.

**Responsibilities**

Drive to and from network locations in a defined geographic area performing network services on behalf of our client.

Receive and complete client issued work orders in a timely manner.

Operate equipment and vehicle in a safe manner, ensuring adherence to company and clients safety program.

Interact with customers and others in a professional and courteous manner to ensure work orders are completed as requested.

Provide a high level of customer service ensuring that any escalations or concerns are addressed professionally.

Assess and test RF and Fibre Optic signal. Cut in New Equipment Network Sweep in accordance with client set parameters Troubleshoot technical issues.

Working in tight spaces (attics and crawl spaces) and working at heights (climbing ladders).

Safe use of basic hand tools, Radio Frequency Meters, TDR’s and Multi Meters (Volt Meters), Locators, Cordless Drills, Saws etc.

Work indoors and outdoors.

**Requirements**:
Previous experience installing and repairing CATV, Internet, Alarms and phones.

Previous work experience in telecom installation, repair or network would be an asset.

Ability to manage a physically demanding position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, working at heights, define colours and in confined spaces.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

A positive attitude and customer focused approach.

Self-Motivated, ability to prioritize and organize work with little direction.

Maintain a valid Class G Ontario driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract annually.

Successful completion of a criminal background check.

**Physical Demands**

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position. These include but are not limited to working outdoors and in confined spaces, movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing of ladders, frequent lifting and pulling of telecommunication cable and Conduit lift in excess of 70 lbs. Stand for extended periods of time.

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
