Reporting to the Senior Director, HR Strategy, Leadership, Learning and Inclusion, the Equity, Diversity, Justice and Inclusion (EDJI) Advisor supports the development of the EDJI strategy, roadmap, and tools. The Advisor researches leading practices within EDJI and ensures that initiatives are embedded across HR programs and The Salvation Army (TSA).

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**EDJI Strategy**
- Collaborate in the development of the equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy, roadmap, tools, and purpose.
- Provide the EDJI lens to review and support HR programs and policies to help build a culture of trust and belonging.
- Identify appropriate measures and metrics to assess the effectiveness of EDJI programs and processes.
- Manage the development of EDJI programs, systems and policies in partnership with the HR team and other TSA departments.
- Measure program/service effectiveness by analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and comparing results against expected objectives and scorecards.
- Advise Business HR, CoEs and Mission Partners when partnering with leaders to develop annual EDJI performance goals and objectives to ensure alignment with the organization’s performance management goals, succession planning pipeline development, ESG targets, etc.
- Monitor and evaluate EDJI success through the development and implementation of effective qualitative and quantitative measures, adjusting action plans to support continuous evolution.
- Conduct research on best practices, external market trends, legislation updates, and case studies to inform equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure program and service effectiveness, comparing results against objectives and scorecards.
- Provide guidance to Business HR in establishing equity, diversity, and inclusion performance goals and objectives that align with the organization's overall performance management goals, succession planning, and ESG targets.

**EDJI Program Delivery & Management**
- Support the development & implementation of diversity & inclusions strategies and initiatives.
- Identify sources to develop diverse talent pipelines, providing diversity awareness training, and employment equity planning.
- Ensure administration of diversity and inclusion programs complies with legislative requirements but working with TSA’s legal department.
- Develop an EDJI learning and communication strategy.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Social Sciences, Diversity Studies) or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies and initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian legislation and regulations related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including employment equity.
- Familiarity with leading practices, trends, and benchmarks in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Excellent research skills, including the ability to review literature, reports, and case studies on equity, diversity, and inclusion topics.
- Strong understanding of cultural competence, intersectionality, and the importance of integrating spiritual perspectives.
- Experience in evaluating equity, diversity, and inclusion programs and using metrics to drive improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
