Consider this leadership opportunity with the Ministry of Transportation The Contract Management Office is seeking an experienced leader to join their team as the Head, Qualifications and Tendering.
**The Contract Management Office is responsible for**: administration of the contractual agreements with service providers for the design and construction of the provincial highway network, pre-qualifying contractors for bidding on construction and maintenance projects, finalizing and distributing the contract documents to potential bidders, preparing estimates for the work, receives the bids and awards the work, developing contract administration guidelines and automated tools for the effective management of planning, design and contract administration consultant assignments, as well as for the oversight of construction contracts.
The Qualifications and Tendering Section is a section of three operational units: Qualifications, Estimating, and Tendering which collectively administer a fair, open and competitive process for the procurement of highway construction service providers. Primary activities include the pre-qualification of consultants and contractors, the administration of the tendering process, preparation of the official cost estimate, bid evaluation and, recommendation to award or non-award a tendered contract.

- Managing and advising on the ministry's service providers, contractor qualification, and the award of major capital construction contracts ensuring compliance with related legal, policy, and quality standards.

- Managing the development, ongoing review and communication of comprehensive, efficient and cost-effective operational policies, standards, processes, procedures and systems.
- Managing the planning, delivery and reporting on contractor service delivery and programs to ensure innovative, cost-effective, efficient, and fair outcomes, while maintaining the protection of confidential information.
