Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Manager, Supportive Care provides clinical leadership and supervision to health professionals working in interdisciplinary teams to provide supportive clinical services for patients with cancer. The responsibilities of the Clinical Manager include managing the day-to-day operations of the supportive care programs (including but not limited to Psychosocial Oncology, Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship, Palliative Care) and ensure the provision of safe, competent, patient centered care. Specifically, this includes coordinating, developing and evaluating staff; organizing, coordinating and evaluating clinical program operation and integration; leading strategic planning and quality management activities related to the sub-programs services/activities, in keeping with the institutional vision and mission; managing and administering operating and foundation account budgets for programs; performing committee responsibilities; performing cross-functional duties and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implementation, coordination and evaluation of Supportive Care clinical program operations and integration within sub-programs;
- Ensure alignment of policies and procedures with the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre;
- Communicate with staff, patients and community partners;
- Lead strategic planning and quality management for the Supportive Care clinical programs;
- Manage all aspects of human resources for clinical staff including administrative assistants, Nursing and Allied Health staff such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, etc.
- Able to identify, recruit and manage talent, including recognizing and rewarding performance and identifying development needs;
- Effective in building trust, respect and cooperation among team members;
- Create an empowering work environment for the team that supports knowledge development and integration and leads change management;
- Prepare operating budgets, including volume projections and expense and revenue estimates;
- Analyze and monitor actual budget performance and address variances.

Qualifications:

- At minimum, completion of a Masters’ degree program in Health Sciences, Hospital Administration, Business or other relevant programs;
- Minimum 5 years direct experience working with a multi-disciplinary team in a hospital setting;
- Experience managing a large and diverse clinical team;
- Be in good standing as a regulated healthcare professional including registration with the respective College;
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
