**Summarized Position Responsibilities**:
This is a key role in our Customer Service Department who coordinates with staff, clients, and the community to increase, maintain and continually improve the Customer Services we provide to our community. This role is responsible to foster greater public awareness of and levels for the Customer Services we provide through attending coordination planning meetings, draft and coordinate print and digital content that the Communications and Engagement Department releases, attend community announcements and events and assist with video production. This role will coordinate Customer Service programs such as the public inquiry and response process, monitor and make recommendations to respond to escalating issues, draft and coordinate grant submissions and provide coverage support to our front desk and other Customer Service functions that serve our community.
- Diploma from a recognized institution in communications, journalism, marketing and/or customer service
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related position
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, clients, and stakeholders in a professional manner
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); graphic design software is preferred (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Experience in a local government working environment an asset
- Experience with drafting and submitting grants would be an asset
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License.
