In this role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions, enabling you to broaden your knowledge and skills in the field. While your primary responsibilities will include processing and filing HR-related records, coordinating CPR trainings, facilitating onboarding processes, and providing general administrative support, you will also have the opportunity to assist in other key areas.

**Position Overview**:
To support the HR team in carrying out the day-to-day functions, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of HR services to departments and employees across the organization. Duties include but not limited to: processing, updating and filing HR-related records and paperwork, and providing general administrative support to the HR team.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support the administration operation by performing tasks such as data entry, filing, and database management, etc.
- Contribute to the recruitment and selection process for all internal and external hires.
- Assist in conducting orientations for new employees and complete new hire data collection and data entry.
- Create and update HR-related documents, including employment verification letters, memos, and other relevant materials.
- Aid in the enrollment and termination process of group benefits for employees.
- Coordinate and organize various training sessions, including but not limited to CPR training.
- Provide support in the reporting and documentation of workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Assist with leave of absence (LOA) and vacation request processing.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or required.

**Job Specifications**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma with concentration in Human Resources Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the Human Resources field.
- Sector familiarity in a Human Resources support role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and presentation skills.
- Experience with HRIS software, CIMS and/or AlayaCare is an asset.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- The ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
- Able to analyze problems, identify solutions, and resolve issues and support HR initiatives.
- Able to adapt to various environments, and work in individual and/or team settings.

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:

- Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 with occasional evenings as required.
- General office environment with significant amount of computer and telephone use.
- Can lift &/ or carry 6-13.5kg (15-30 lbs).
