**Job Summary**
- The Department of Emergency Medicine is a key contributor to Dalhousie Medical School’s education, patient care and research activities. Welcoming learners from many disciplines and across the continuum of education, we provide excellent educational programs across the Maritime provinces. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), with input from various Program Directors, the Education Manager is responsible for implementing the vision for the Department’s Educational activities, working in conjunction with the COO and input from stakeholders through departmental planning processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plans, establishes, monitors and evaluates operational efficiencies and priorities and manage the daily operations of the Education activities of the Department.
- Implements and manages the administrative functions of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Emergency Medicine ensuring the efficient central operation the QEII, IWK, PEI and Saint John NB Emergency Department sites, as well as other potential sites.
- Guides departmental education operational decisions with input from District and site chiefs, program directors, COO, education coordinators and other stakeholders across the province and inter-provincially.
- Seeks out opportunities for expansion and advancement of the Department’s Education mission.
- Engages residents and learners on the department’s strategic direction and are fully aware of the direction the Department is taking with respect to medical education.
- Supervises and manages two Educational Coordinators and manages day-to-day tasks associated with scheduling, coordinating the Emergency Medicine clinical rotations, specialty and community Emergency medicine rotations.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in business, health-related discipline or education with approximately five years’ of administrative experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Demonstrated experience in building a collaborative working environment between multiple stakeholders and acting as the key liaison between stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work and think independently, use judgment, multi-task, make decisions and meet deadlines in a fast-changing, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent supervisory skills.
