We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Purchasing Specialist at Quantum Technology, you will play a crucial role in procuring the materials and components necessary for the construction of our state-of-the-art cryogenic and industrial piping systems. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to determine procurement needs. - Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
- Analyze procurement data and trends to optimize inventory levels and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders. - Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field - or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cryogenic and industrial piping systems and materials is a plus.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet based software such as Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience implementing or working with procurement software or ERP software would be an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.

**Salary**: $59,000.00-$69,000.00 per year
