**Objective**

Reporting into the Sr. Director, Projects & Planning in SDM National Operations, this role will manage the current SDM Corporate Relief Pharmacist Program and look to expand the program across Canada, with the goal of reducing costs associated with 3rd party external relief agencies, enhancing business continuity, and improving the consistency of patient care at store level.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and regularly report on Corporate relief spending vs. Third Party relief costs to assess ongoing savings/ROI
- First line of contact for feedback and coordination of relief pharmacists
- Working with Finance partners to establish and manage the corporate relief wage chargeback process to SDM stores
- Onboarding new relief pharmacists in collaboration with Operations and regional HR Director
- Planning and coordinating relief pharmacist rotations at 3-6 month intervals or based on business needs
- Acting as a liaison between relief pharmacists, SDM Associate Owners and Operations team members (Vice President, Operations, Pharmacy Operations Specialist)
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition partners to build recruitment campaigns and marketing to attract and recruit relief pharmacists on an ongoing basis
- Ensure Relief Pharmacists are onboarded and up to date on all corporate training and communications as required
- Regularly connecting with relief pharmacists in person (some travel may be required) and virtual, as needs require
- Working with Store Administrators biweekly to ensure relief pharmacist hours are accurately tracked and submitted, ensuring timely processing of payroll
- Providing regular reporting and updates to Senior Leadership on Relief program - activity, spending, recruitment, OSAT and determining
ROI
- Closely monitoring market rates and ensuring SDM Corporate Relief Pharmacist compensation package remains competitive to attract talent and maintain ROI
- Support for other ad-hoc projects, initiatives, and/or reporting requests

This role is best suited for someone who can contribute both on strategic and tactical levels and can build strong partnerships, being proactive and influencing others. Having a balanced approach to short
- and long-term planning are key requirements for this role.
- Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment Possesses a high level of accountability and proven capability to identify opportunities, take initiative and think through future implications
- Flexible and self-directed with the ability to manage competing priorities during periods of rapid change and transition with constantly shifting priorities
- Strong communication including confidence in public speaking and presenting to leadership, PowerPoint design, and developing impactful updates and proposals to senior leaders.
- Previous experience leading people is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

**Education and Experience**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent work experience in a relevant area
- Minimum 3 years previous work experience in a retail and/or pharmacy setting is strongly preferred
- Strong, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
- Previous experience in developing detailed project plans is considered an asset
- Strong technological proficiency with strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) particularly PowerPoint / Presentation Creation
