**Responsibilities Include**:

- Maintain the inventory control system by directing counterpersons to complete the information on repair orders and counter tickets.
- Report to the Parts Manager when individual part numbers require addition to inventory.
- Help counterpersons locate correct parts numbers and prices in the catalog—use such instances as training opportunities
- Approve and check all parts returns to ensure that they comply with the dealership return policy and that the parts in a saleable condition.
- Maintain records on all customer interdepartmental complaints so that types and personnel involved can be identified.
- Formulate and execute plans with the approval of the Parts Manager.
- Assist the Parts Manager in maintaining performance records on individual parts employees and evaluation sessions, as directed.
- Control excessive use of shop and office supplies by department employees.
- Supervise housekeeping in the Parts Department to assure that it is clean and attractive to both customers and employees
- Protect dealership tools and equipment from abuse and ensure that proper maintenance is carried out. Recommend changes and improvements in equipment to the Parts Manager.
- Maintain records as directed by the Parts Manager
- Participate with management in the resolution of customer and interdepartmental complaints by identifying their causes and preventing recurrence.
- Direct and participate in maintaining an accurate perpetual inventory
- Take all necessary measures to assure that safety regulations, fire and accident prevention regulations and inventory security procedures are complied with.
- Member and participator with the Health and Safety committee
- Excellent communication skills

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a parts department in an automotive dealership
- Post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of parts inventory and business management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive results
- Must be able to lift, move (+50 lbs)
- Computer skills including Reynolds & Reynolds, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid G Class Driver license with a clean drivers abstract
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends
