AV Gauge Automation provides a different dimension to the traditional integrators of automated equipment. AV Gauge Automation provides custom automation equipment to OEMs, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, using the most modern technologies and engineering software. We focus on core manufacturing principles and forward thinking to ensure all customer expectations for productivity, maintenance and safety are met.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accurately process weekly payrolls, currently through Ceridian Dayforce, within a timely manner.
- Maintain payroll information in an organized fashion to meet all legislative and corporate policies.
- Ensure thorough, effective, and timely communication with the team, management, employees, and external customers to ensure clarity and understanding while following regulations and company policies.
- Ensure employee satisfaction is delivered and sustained through accuracy, attitude and professionalism when responding to payroll enquires.
- Ensure integrity of data for all entries. Always maintains backup and support documentation.
- Ensures all data entry, verifications, documents, and reports are audited and error free in advance of submission or communication with internal or external parties.
- Work closely with department leaders for the processing of all employee payroll transactions. Responsible for processing the time tracking of variable hours, such as overtime, premiums, bonuses, etc.).
- Process payroll year-end transactions, and submit annual remittances and adhere to legislative deadlines.
- Produce records of employment
- Complete any wage and/or government surveys.
- Process monthly & annual WSIB reconciliations and submissions consistently & accurately
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 2+ years’ experience with computerized payroll is required.
- Experience in handling confidential information and working productively in a highly functional team environment.
- Ability to plan and complete daily activities with mínimal direction and effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience within a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail while dealing with payroll data.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.
- Effective communication (Verbal and written).
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent combination of experience
- Canadian Payroll Association certification completion, or in progress, is considered a strong asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sitting/standing for a prolonged period of time while working on a computer.
- Time management skills to prioritize duties.
- Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs.
