The Manager will be part of the Retail Advice and Solutions Finance team and will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting processes related to the subsidiaries Sun Life Financial Investments Inc. (SLFISI), Sun Life Financial Distributors Inc. (SLFDI) and a new subsidiary that is currently being established. This will encompass the accounting and reporting of a Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) regulated entity as well as the analytical processes involved in reporting key metrics to management. The large scale and scope of this role requires an advanced level of analytical insight and operational efficiency.

**What will you do?**
- Review monthly regulatory filings of a CIRO regulated entity, review annual financial statements under IFRS, including all note disclosures and preparation and review of quarterly board reports
- Collaborate effectively with various business areas to support the delivery of financial and management reporting, presentations, and analytics as required
- Coach, mentor and develop one direct report
- Provide guidance and insights through analytics
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Provide on-going support to the team's control environment
- Provide support for regulatory, external and internal auditors by ensuring that requested supporting documents and explanations are provided
- Support annual Business Continuity program for Subsidiary Reporting and Dealer Accounting team

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA) with 4-6 years of related industry experience
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills to service numerous members of the organization
- Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions that require innovative thinking

**Preferred skills**
- Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and within a team
- Strong PC skills (MSOffice Suite, SharePoint, SAP, Hyperion, Tableau)

**Notes/Unique Requirements**:

- Some overtime may be required during peak reporting periods (month and quarter ends)
